1. Objective
To promote New Year's greetings and friendship among amateur stations.

2. Date and time
From 2nd January 00:00UTC to 7th January 12:00UTC.

3. Eligibility for participation
Amateur stations and SWL. (individuals who receive radio waves from amateur stations)

4. Band and mode
Permitted for the station.

5. Entry categories
- Amateur station (Code number: 30)
- SWL (Code number: 31)

6. Call
- Phone 'CQ NEW YEAR PARTY'
- CW 'CQ NYP'
Note: Data, Images, ATV, etc., follow Phone and CW.

7. Exchange
RS(T) plus operator's name.

8. Contacts
- JA stations may contact all stations worldwide.
- DX stations may only contact JA stations.

9. Prohibited conduct
- Deviations from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Notification "Distinction between the use of radio wave types and frequencies used for amateur operations".
- Use of repeaters. (Excludes amateur satellites)

10. Log submission
- Amateur stations with 20 or more complete QSO or SWL with 20 or more complete receiving stations shall use the 'Summary Sheet' and 'Log Sheet' (or the same format in A4 size) prescribed by JARL, fill in the necessary information and submit them.

- If you wish to receive a commemorative sticker, please enclose SASE.

11. Souvenirs of participation
- Amateur stations and SWLs that have submitted the documents will receive a commemorative sticker if they wish.
- For JA: When submitting the log, enclose a SASE (\84).
- For DX: When submitting the log, enclose a return envelope (SAE) and 2IRC.
- Commemorative stickers will not be presented in the following cases.
1. In the event of a breach of these rules.
2. If there are false statements in the submitted log.
